Barbara Rees, English, Director of Theater

For the past few years, Barbara has been a globe-trotting teacher with two stints in the U.K. and another in the Bahamas.  In both locales she worked at international schools, teaching English classes, but mostly theatre, and even music!  She has directed a variety of musicals and straight plays, and she enjoys experimenting with theatre from non-Western cultures. 

Landing at York School in 2009 has meant another relocation, but the settling in time has elapsed, and she really feels like a member of the community, looking forward to many years here on the sunny Monterey hilltop.
