Members of the 2010 Board of Trustees

As guardian of our school’s mission, the Board of Trustees focuses on long-term planning to ensure York’s continuing success.

Trustees are donors and volunteers who offer York sound judgment, professional . expertise, and practical skills. The Board is responsible for setting broad institutional policies that further and support the school’s mission. In addition, Board members actively promote the school in the broader community. Trustees are not involved in day-to-day school operations.

York’s Board includes alumni, faculty and student representatives, and parents of current students and graduates. Some trustees had no previous connection but were attracted to the school by its record of achievement, its welcoming culture, and its commitment to serving creative, independent thinkers from a range of backgrounds. Each trustee believes in the value of a York School education for individual students, their families, and our communities.
