Visitors quickly recognize that York is a remarkable community, where it’s not unusual to see a group of eighth graders, seniors, and teachers sitting on the grass, laughing over lunch. The small class size and high level of interaction with faculty at York create unique educational and social experiences that attract students from more than 40 middle schools in the area. A fundamental element of the York experience is its diverse population. Thanks to a financial aid program that is double the national average, York attracts exceptionally qualified students of broad ethnic and economic backgrounds.
