At York, you’ll be part of a group of exceptionally qualified students from 35-40 area middle school, charter school, and home school programs across Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito counties. Your classmates will bring their unique perspectives from a broad range of ethnic and economic backgrounds. That means you’ll get to know a broader slice of the world, too. The more you get to know about the world and your place in it, the easier your transitions in the future will be.

You’ll need a broad range of skills to function at the highest level in the years ahead and you’ll get them here. Understanding the importance of technology and information literacy, you’ll become wise consumers and producers of information, preparing you to thrive in a digital world. You’ll have practice in collaborating effectively with diverse groups of people, pursuing interdisciplinary approaches to answer tough questions, and thinking analytically about the challenges that lie ahead. Caring for the planet is mandatory; you’ll experience being part of a school that teaches, lives, and builds green.
