As a teammate, she has modeled excellent sportsmanship and athletic skill in cross-country, soccer, and track. As a peer, she has helped guide the Robotics Team and Key Club, held numerous student council positions, and is in the process of producing the 2017 yearbook. As an active community member, Laura has spent two summers working as an intern at the Naval Postgraduate School through the SEAP program.
After York, Laura will attend The United States Military Academy at West Point where she plans to major in a STEM field, likely Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. After her graduation in 2021, she will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
Valedictorian is a great achievement that is earned over years of daily diligence and dedication. Bravo Laura!
