The Advancement Office is responsible for making friends and nurturing relationships for York School. We work with families, alumni, donors, volunteers, and community members who are changing the lives of local students through their support of York.  The Advancement staff implements fundraising efforts, alumni relations programs, special events, and public and media relations efforts.  The Department publishes Break and the Annual Report. We love to tell the York story, and hope you will share your York stories with us.

York is a community asset that provides educational opportunities to students from all family backgrounds. The outstanding accomplishments of our students would not be possible without the now more than 3,500 constituents that form our community of partners.

York depends on the generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations to help bridge the gap between tuition income and the actual cost of educating a student at York School. Because we believe that talented students should be given the opportunity of a York education regardless of financial circumstances, 41% of our families (twice the national average) receive financial assistance.

Trustees, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, families, and friends of York students join their neighbors, community businesses, foundations, and individuals in raising the funds that are essential to providing educational programs of the highest quality, financial aid, computers and new technology, classroom materials, faculty enrichment, faculty and staff salaries, physical plant resources, and maintenance.
