Tom Hunt, Latin, Greek

Tom Hunt comes to York with over thirty five years of experience in independent and public schools in New England and New Jersey. He has presented at several state and national conferences, and been the recipient of the Allen Shepard Technology in Education Award presented by the National Association of Educational Technology Specialists. He earned degrees from the University of Vermont and Middlebury College, as well as receiving two National Endowment for the Humanities grants. His wife (Ellen Masten) and her family are fourth generation Carmel, thus the move back to the Monterey Bay area was for familial and professional reasons. Tom will teach all Latin courses and an introductory course in Homeric Greek. Tom also serves as Chair of the World and Classical Languages Department.
