As part of an annual nation-wide competition, the Chapter holds an essay contest and selects one student from each high school who demonstrates the qualities of a good citizen through their community work and future goals. As such, Lauren Marshall received the DAR Good Citizen's Award.
A modern-day Renaissance woman, Lauren is a naturalist, athlete, artist, musician, linguist, scientist, pilot, designer, and engineer. She is fearless and is most inspired when facing perceived impossibilities or working against the odds. She has an incredibly resilient nature and when faced with failure, she shakes off feelings of disappointment and shifts her energies toward finding another approach to attain her desired end goals. This endless tenacity has made Lauren an invaluable and awe-inspiring member of our school and community in so many ways!
