Students will also receive a printed copy of their schedule at the New Families Potluck on Monday, August 6 and on the First Day of School, August 8th

MASTER SCHEDULE

The master schedule is designed to optimize placement in graduation requirements and students’ requested electives. Students should have five courses to be considered fully enrolled. Some students may not have received every requested elective, but as schedule changes take place openings may be created. Your patience is appreciated.

Juniors and Seniors will be placed in Pathways 1 or 2, our college counseling class, which meets one period each cycle. Mr. Burke, our Director of College Counseling, will finalize those meeting periods at the start of school, so expect those to be added to your schedule if it is not already listed.

Also, morning music ensembles are scheduled at the start of school. If you requested these courses, please plan on meeting with your music ensemble instructor at the start of school to confirm meeting times. Starting August, I am available to help with schedule changes and will gladly do all I can to build for you the best schedule possible. Seniors who need certain courses for graduation purposes are granted priority in course requests. I look forward to helping students with any scheduling needs they might have. Please make an appointment to meet with me on campus, or we can discuss changes over the phone or via email.

Keep in mind that accommodating schedule changes for other students as well as class size balancing may result in course section changes to your schedule. Therefore, be sure to pick up a fresh copy of your schedule on the first day of school at the entrance to the Coburn Commons.

Textbooks, new and used, and summer reading texts are available through our online bookseller, MBS Direct. A link to the online bookstore, and a list of ISBN numbers for all books, can be found here. Information for new students is also available on york.org/welcome-new-students. If you require any additional assistance before school starts with passwords, or anything else, please contact Andrea Sanico, School Secretary, at x100 or asanico@york.org, or Terry Uchida, Director of Admission, at x115 or terry@york.org.

I do hope families will access student schedules online before the school year begins. Doing so will help students mentally prepare for a successful start to the new school year.
