This week has been Red and Black week, an annual event full of spirit days, games and fun. The highlight for me was being a part of Student Council and seeing the work we do truly making a positive impact on the York campus. From students of all grades gender bending (boys dressing as girls and girls dressing as boys) to the teacher vs. student kickball game, it has truly been a blast.

Thursday was a highly anticipated theme day we do every year, Lumberjack Day. Picture this...flannel, flannel, and more flannel, topped with beanies (which was perfect for the rain that has finally touched the sunny York hill). As a special treat there were pancakes, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and maple syrup for all during lunch in the Commons. We like to have fun here at York.

The smiles of York students with a pancake in their hands, or those same hands waving in the air rooting for teachers during kickball, has made this week fantastic!
