I'm a sophomore in my second year at York. The school year has been fantastic so far, and I'm excited to see what opportunities the next few months will bring. I am so glad that I became a part of this community; it has been one of the best decisions of my life. Everyone is so welcoming, kind, and respectful. There are tons of opportunities to make friends and get to know your classmates.

For example, Student Council hosted a spirit week this week with fun dress up days and activities. Today, the student body played dodge ball at lunch. We were split up into our respective grades and got to work together to win against the other classes. The game was a great chance for us to bond as classmates while having fun as well.

During freshman year, we went on a retreat as a class. Teachers and parents organized activities that helped us get to know each other. This event served as an icebreaker and began the forging of amazing friendships. I am definitely looking forward to having the opportunity to make even more great friends during my future years at York.
