Last weekend, York’s Code+Design class featured projects at the annual Santa Cruz Mini Maker Faire hosted by Gateway School. Students spent the semester working in different groups to create the elements of their exhibit: a video game emulator, mushroom forest light show, and a heated headband. The goal of the exhibit was to demonstrate what happens when you ask a group of kids to dedicate a portion of their school day to solve real-world problems employing breakthrough technologies.
The students - and York :) - were proud to showcase these projects alongside the exhibits of other students and professional makers like virtual reality booths, reimagined racecars, programming art, and about 30 other awesome projects.
