Falcon Boys Soccer Start Season With Three Victories
Posted 12/05/2018 11:42AM

The Boys Soccer Team improved their league record to 2-0-0 with an 8-1 victory over Trinity Christian on a wet Wednesday afternoon (November 29) on the York Lower Field. The rain-soaked turf added fun and excitement to the game as the players spread the goal scoring around with Justin Vu '20, Jason Khan '22 and Navid Daliri '19 scoring two each and Tom Siletto '19 and Kaeden Ellawendy '20 claiming a goal also. Justin Vu saved a penalty shot and had a clean sheet while in goal for the first half. Jason Khan added to his team leading assist total with a creative byline pass combination to Kaeden for a tap in goal.

Huge kudos to Gerald Contreras and Steve Peters for getting the lower field ready for the game on very short notice. We are very fortunate to have such SPECTACULAR fields to play on and the option to move between the fields for games and training.

The Falcons Boys Soccer team completed a three victory start to their season with a decisive win over Stevenson on Friday afternoon (November 30) on the vibrant green yet soggy York upper field. The boys played a complete team game in shutting out the Pirates 2-0. Kevin Daliri '21 was between the pipes for the entire contest and had 3 amazing saves as well as Fletcher Gaucher '20 used his head to clear a ball off the line that was on target for the back of the net late in the second half. The defense, led by sweeper Navid Dailri, fullbacks Jason Mao '22, Colin Hodges '22, Mason Hall '22, Donald Ratcliff '19, Stone Yang '20, as well as the Stopper’s Henry Xiang '19 and Tom Siletto created a defensive brick wall that was key to the Falcon’s first clean sheet. Jason Khan started the scoring in 12th minute and Max Burke '19 sealed the victory in the 65th minute.
