York Water Polo - One loss, one win, and more games to come!

In their game at Hollister Monday, the Junior Varsity team won 8-7. Will Hand '23 and Eli Campbell '23 each scored 3 goals as well as having an assist. Tony Liu '22 and Chamberlain Key '23 also scored 1 goal each. Casey Cortez '22 had an assist, a steal, and drew crucial penalty shot.
The varsity team began the game strong, bolstered by Kevin Daliri’s '21 play in goal, with ten blocks. Micheal Scholis '20 had 2 goals, but fouled out of the game. Sophia Sanico '20 scored once as well as having 2 steals. Leo Del Toro '22 and Quincy Key '23 each had an assist. York lost 11-3, but their is plenty of room for improvement.
In York's second game versus Pacific Grove High School, York Water Polo came out on top 11-5. Del Toro led the scoring with 5 goals, and drew 2 exclusions. Sanico had four goals, and two steals. Oscar Fadem '22 had a goal and a block. Ian Partlow '23 had a goal and an assist. Cynthia Ortiz-Naranjo '21 had an assist and drew two exclusions.
