Posted 10/13/2016 10:58AM
In the first match against Trinity this season, one of York’s Senior Outside Hitters, Sara Patz '17 was injured. The Varsity team wanted to come out strong against this team to honor their injured teammate, and end the match in 3. And they did just that. The first game went quickly, with multiple kills from both Katie Calciano ’19 and Raina Shamszadeh ’17 and ended with an ace by Libero Hannah Ray ’17. In the second game York was able to secure a win in the second 25-18, with the help of a 5 kills from Jesslyn De Anda ’18 and a pair of aces from Maddie Sharp ’18. York closed the match with a score of 25-20 in the third game.
York will take on Greenfield at their home 10.13 and Marina at CSUMB on 10.18. - Submitted by Coach Anna Russell.
