York Alumni Reach New Level of Giving
York alumni came together to raise more than $58,000 for The York Fund, exceeding this year's goal and posting an all-time high for alumni annual giving. With nearly 18% of alumni participating, it was also the highest level of engagement on record.
Donations will be used to support the many facets of the York experience such as the robust athletics program and the offerings in fine arts, professional development for teachers, campus improvements, and financial aid for the almost 40% of families who otherwise could not afford full tuition.
About 20% of gifts were made on June 30, making the race to the finish an exciting one. In the final hours, Class of '75 rallied to take the lead for participation with 56% of the class donating!
Other top performers included:
Class of '91 = 47%
Class of '05 = 43% and most number of gifts
Class of '14 = 30%, meeting the challenge extended by Clark Shishido '88
The Class of '67 posted the highest participation ('75%) with three of four members contributing. Given their size, we consider them in a class of their own.
Annual support from alumni and other friends of the School ensure today's students can share in a life-changing experience.
