First Day of School

When to arrive

Not sure when to arrive at School? Getting here between 8:15 and 8:20 should give you plenty of time to be ready for the first event. A hard copy of your schedule will be available in the Breezeway.

PARENTS: Please remember to use the drop-off/pick-up circle in the mornings and afternoons!

New students - What to Bring

Be sure to bring a planner, a writing implement, notebook, textbooks, and your digital device. Homework on the first day will be minimal. Your teachers will let you know what you'll need for Thursday, the first day of full classes.

Picture Day

Don't forget, the first day of school is PICTURE DAY!

Arrive prepared to have your school picture taken. No need to worry about ordering photos now–you'll receive a proof in a few weeks and can decide if you'd like to order a photo package then.

8:30 – 9:00 a.m. - All School meeting in the Chapel – Welcome back!
9:10 - 10:15 a.m. - [Grades 8 & 9: Orientation – Theater] & [Grades 10-12: Photos]
10:20 - 11:05 a.m. - [Grades 8 & 9: Photos] & [Grades 10-12: Orientation – Theater]

Classes on the first day of school are shortened periods. This is a chance to meet your teachers and get a sense of what your courses will be like.

11:10 - 11:30 - Period 1 of A Day
11:35 - 11:55 - Period 2 of A Day
12:00 - 12:20 - Period 3 of A Day
12:20 - 1:00 – Lunch
On the first day of school, the senior class sells pizza at lunch to raise money for their senior trip. You can bring your lunch or money for pizza, but be sure to bring a snack. The lunch truck will be available beginning on Thursday, August 15.
1:00 - 1:20 - Period 4 of A Day
1:25 - 1:45 - Period 5 of A Day
1:50 - 2:10 - Period 6 of A Day
2:15 - 2:35 - Period X - Period 2 of B Day
2:45 - 3:30 - All School Meeting [Chapel] - Athletics and H&F/Sports Orientation and Sign ups

Parents, please use caution as you pick up your student as there will be heavy pedestrian traffic across the main driveway and through the parking lot.

Traffic congestion during the first week of school is to be expected. Once after-school programs get underway, things will lighten up. Please be extra vigilant in using the drop-off/pick-up circle. If you must pull in, please be sure to use a designated parking spot. For the sake of all our lungs, please turn off your motor if you need to wait!
