If you are a new 8th or 9th grade student, your core classes will be pre-determined. Once you've enrolled, you'll receive a course planning form to choose your foreign language and elective preferences.  Math placement will be determined based on the results of a placement assessment given on May 4. For new 10th and 11th graders, please call the Admission Office to arrange a course planning meeting with our Academic Dean.

 *Math courses are determined by placement assessment on May 4. Typical placement for 8th and 9th graders is Algebra I or Geometry, but if you are ready for Algebra II, Pre-calculus, or higher, additional placement assessment options are available.

**Modern foreign language options are Spanish, French, and Mandarin Chinese. You may place into a higher level if you have had prior foreign language instruction.

***9th grade electives include Latin I, Studio Art Foundation, Choir, Concert Band, and Orchestra. Latin I is a graduation requirement, recommended for either 9th or 10th grade. Graduation requirements also include one credit in visual or performing art, to be completed during grades 9-12.
