York students make an impact at Food Bank

About thirty York students took time out of their day to volunteer on Tuesday, August 25.
The executive director of the Monterey County Food Bank stated that due to Covid-19, they lost a substantial amount of volunteers, and went from having 60 national guard to just 15 to help. York School was the first high school to start volunteering this year, and she told our students, “you are literally a life line”. Our Falcons bagged 600+ bags of apples, 800+ bags of potatoes, and 800+ bags of dry goods for those in need. Thank you to Oscar '22, Lily '23 and Mrs. Moneypenny and Mrs. Berry to help organize this great volunteer opportunity.

We inspire and prepare a diverse community of creative, independent thinkers.
Since 1959, York School has created an exceptional college-prep experience for our youth: inspiring them to develop intellectual curiosity; challenging them to create and try new things; and preparing them to be passionate contributors in college and in life.
