Jack and Peggy have had a 40-year history of involvement with York and a deep commitment to its mission, programs, and students. In January 2020, Jack passed away at the age of 100, leaving a profound legacy at the School. Peggy remains involved as a supporter and champion of the school, stating, "Our commitment to York runs deep: a son, daughters and a grandson have graduated with pride; a daughter is currently on faculty, and Chuck Downes led York as Headmaster for eight years. Our belief in scholarships runs strong."
As donors, Peggy and Jack have given more than $1 million to York, and Peggy is a member of York's Legacy Society. Because of their extraordinary generosity, York students have been given an otherwise unavailable opportunity for success in college and productive, meaningful lives.
