Sitem Aytar joins York after serving as the head of communications for a large school district, where she oversaw all communications, marketing, and public relations efforts for the district and across 13 school sites. She brings additional experience in higher education and county-level education communications, giving her a broad understanding of school communities and their unique needs. Sitem thrives in school environments and is proud to have found her perfect niche — she loves working in schools and has a special interest and knack for design, websites, and all things communications. She is eager to bring her knowledge and passion to York School and contribute to the vibrant and supportive culture. Outside of work, Sitem enjoys spending time with her loved ones in her many cherished roles as a daughter, sister, partner, aunt, cat mom, and friend. In her free time, you’ll often find her traveling, reading science fiction, playing The Sims, researching graduate programs, or making the most of her Disneyland annual pass. |
