Meet our Faculty and Staff

Tracie Lizama serves as York School’s Director of Enrollment, where she leads the school’s efforts to attract, engage, and enroll mission-aligned students and families. With more than two decades of professional experience in education and administration, Tracie brings deep expertise in admissions, relationship building, and strategic enrollment management.

Prior to joining York, Tracie served as Admissions Manager at Notre Dame High School in Salinas for five years, where she directed the full spectrum of the admissions and enrollment process. Her experience at Notre Dame gave her a comprehensive understanding of private school admissions and prepared her to take on a leading role in shaping York’s enrollment strategy.

At York, Tracie is a key ambassador for the school, articulating the value of a York education to prospective families and strengthening the school’s connection to the broader community. She is passionate about helping students and parents discover the transformative opportunities of independent education, and she takes pride in cultivating meaningful relationships with families, faculty, and staff.

A lifelong resident of the Monterey Peninsula—with a chapter spent in Portland, Oregon—Tracie returned home in 2015. Outside of her professional role, she enjoys visiting her two adult children, both professional writers in Oregon, spending time at the beach, gardening, reading widely, and exploring her love of creative writing and poetry. She also cherishes time with family and friends, whether sharing a meal, enjoying a board game, or simply being together.
