Help with the Application
We are here to guide you through the financial aid process every step of the way. If you'd like assistance with your application, or if you have any questions, please contact Tracie Lizama, Director of Enrollment at tlizama@york.org.
Applying for Financial Aid
No student or family should ever feel limited in applying to York because of financial concerns. Our tuition is determined by each family’s individual circumstances, ensuring that cost is not a barrier to a York education. We are committed to partnering with families to provide tuition that reflects their unique ability to invest in their child’s future.
Apply here to our Financial Aid program using the Clarity Tuition Portal. The priority deadline for submission is February 1 each year, however we continue to accept rolling applications through spring and summer.
Clarity Tuition
To make the most fair and equitable estimate of a family's ability to pay tuition, we utilize Clarity Tuition, which analyzes individual financial statements and recommends an amount that each family can afford to spend on a child's education. Clarity Tuition estimates the amount you can contribute to school expenses and forwards that estimate to York. There is one form per household, for any number of applicant children.
Once submitted to York, the Clarity estimate is reviewed and adjusted using the family's prior year and current federal tax forms, taking into account the higher cost of living in California. The Financial Aid Committee reviews the materials and determines the level of assistance offered. For divorced or separated parents, York School asks each natural parent to complete a confidential Parent Financial Statement (PFS).
