The York School Choir and Chamber Choir invites you to an evening that crosses borders, languages, and musical traditions. Music from Around the World is a student-driven concert celebrating how music expresses identity, emotion, and culture across the globe. This program brings together folk songs, contemporary global pop, choral classics, and modern anthems—sung in multiple languages and styles. The repertoire spans Irish folk traditions, Latin American and Spanish-language music, Korean pop ballads, Hawaiian chants, French art music, Welsh musical theatre, and iconic British rock. Each selection reflects student choice and personal connection, highlighting how today’s singers engage with music from both their own backgrounds and cultures beyond their own. 6:00pm - Food & Reception 6:30pm - Concert Begins
