Hello! My name is Shardonnay Macias, and I am excited to join The York School as a Humanities teacher. I earned my bachelor's degree from California State University, Monterey Bay, and later completed my teaching credential and master's degree through Alder Graduate School of Education. Previously, I taught high school English, AP English Language and Composition, Ethnic Studies, and student leadership, and I look forward to helping students grow as readers, writers, and critical thinkers. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling with my husband and our three children, exploring new restaurants, reading, and spending time outdoors. Our family also includes a French Bulldog named Sonny, who keeps us entertained. I am thrilled to be part of the York community!
