Meet our Faculty and Staff

This is Christopher Lopez’s 8th year teaching music in Monterey County. As a student in Gonzales High School, Christopher was one of the founding musicians in the 5th Street Jazz Band, and later participated in the Monterey Jazz Festival’s County All-Star Jazz Band Under the direction of Paul Cantos. In 2006, Christopher enrolled as the first graduating class of students to major in Jazz at the University of the Pacific under the supervision of Mr. Patrick Langham. There, he collaborated with prodigious students like Chad Lefkowitz Brown, and Ben Flock. Christopher also had the fantastic opportunity to work with Jazz legends and performing artists the likes of Dave Brubeck, Freddie Hubbard, and Christian McBride. Post College, Mr. Lopez has been a professional musician in the studio, in the theater, and on the stage for groups local and national.
