National Latin Exam Recognition
Sapere! Aude! (be wise and act boldly)
York students outshone their competitors around the world on the National Latin Exam. One goal of Latin class is to develop skills of using reason, context, and connections to decipher meaning, and this proved to be a key to success on this exam.
Twenty-nine students took the exam, over 2/3 earned recognition, and an astounding 50% of those who took the test earned gold or silver medals showing the motto "Sapere Aude."
