The York Girls Soccer team did very well in their first season in the higher Cypress Division. The team finished 4th, winning 6, losing 5 and tying 1. Notable victories were the doubles over Stevenson and Notre Dame, the 5-2 victory over King City and the season finale when York won 3-0 against St. Francis, the runners up. Sarah Tate,  Alessia Torrente, Karla Cardenas, Rachael Galinato and Emily Geiser held the defense, while Eleanor Johnson in goal finished the season with the most saves in the region. Rose Finn, Emma Wilcox, Esbeidy Rodriguez-Calvo, Regan Takashima, Brianna Bailey, Maria-Elena Mejia Contreras, Izabella Tejeda and Giada Nuovo controlled the midfield and Lily Gill and Sam Ortiz-Naranjo led the attack. Sam finished the season as the 3rd highest scorer in the region with 22 goals in 14 games. Other mentions go to Hannah Xu, Sophie Sukyas, Vanitha Glover and Maddie Gill. Maddie played everywhere at least twice. We would like to thank Jenny Grossman and Anna Mejia-Conteras for their assistance.
