Martin Mendieta

ASSOCIATE PLANT SERVICES SUPERVISOR

Martin hails from Victoria, Guanajuato, Mexico. He moved to Fresno, California in 1988 and worked in the fields picking grapes. He became a US Citizen shortly after he moved to Fresno.

Martin met his wife, Lourdes, in Monterey and they were married in 1997. He is the proud father of two children Brian (22) and Ashley (17). He enjoys spending time with his family and likes cycling in his spare time.

Martin acquired expertise in landscaping and cabinet making. He has developed exceptional woodworking and maintenance skills as is evident throughout the York campus. To see Martin’s work, one only has to look at the York outdoor benches and many of the cabinets in the faculty room which he repurposed for use in the Design Shop. Most recently, he also repurposed the old cabinets from the Main Office and installed them in the newly created “Copy Room.”

Martin is a very nice, warm and welcoming individual always eager to help with whatever is needed in his capacity as the Associate Plant Services Supervisor. You will see Martin in the afternoon shift, continuing with the earlier shift projects, fixing doors, making minor repairs, finishing various woodworking projects and securing the campus.

Martin joined the Business and Operations team in May of 2017.
