Jonathan Truong '22
Jon is bilingual in Vietnamese and English and has studied through YAS Spanish 5 at York and Chinese independently since he was six years old. He is a recipient of one gold medal and two honorable mentions on the National Spanish Exam. After his freshman year at York, he went to Beijing with CIEE on their “Language and Culture program.” At York School, he was in the Asian Culture Club and took Global Cinema. For his capstone project, he worked with the United Nations Association of Monterey Bay to help build their membership base. He collaborated with students from Santa Catalina School to work on their website and he gave presentations to inform students about the UNAMB and recruit new members.
