Dean grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and received an undergraduate degree from University of California, Santa Cruz, and Master’s in Counseling from Santa Clara University. Since then, he has either lived in the Monterey Bay area or on the Big Island of Hawaii, where his wife, Lisa’s family is from. Dean brings many years of experience as a college counselor, administrator, and school counselor at private and public schools in Hawaii, Marin County, Santa Cruz, and Monterey. In each of these roles, what he enjoys most is working with young people as they navigate high school and make plans for their future.
