Andrea Sanico

Mrs. Sanico — Institutional Database & Business Operations Manager

Transitioning from M.O.M. of 200 kids (formerly the Main Office Manager), Mrs. Sanico now serves as York’s Institutional Database and Business Operations Manager. She oversees tuition management, accounts payable, audit research, facilities agreements, and an array of databases and software platforms. She finds this work deeply fulfilling and describes it as “nurturing her developing STEM-minded brain.” Her motto? “I refuse to let a computer or software program beat me.”  A commissioned Notary Public for over 30 years, Mrs. Sanico brings high ethical standards and meticulous attention to detail to all that she does—qualities that ensure compliance, accuracy, and integrity in her work. Her attention to detail, deep institutional knowledge, and willingness to take on complex challenges make her an indispensable part of York’s operations—quietly ensuring that things run smoothly behind the scenes.

On the personal side, Mrs. Sanico is the proud parent of two York graduates and a massive sports aficionado, even becoming the co-founder of a local water polo club. She’s drawn to athletes who display not only skill but more importantly, sportsmanship and teamwork. Years ago, cheering at her kids’ water polo games led her to a new passion: sports photography. She hasn’t looked back since. With a 600mm lens in hand, she now travels to national water polo tournaments and surfing competitions, capturing the action from the sidelines. Her work even caught the eye of USA Water Polo, and she now photographs for their Junior Olympics events.

While she misses daily interactions with students and families, she welcomes friendly visits in her office in the Philanthropy Wing—especially if you’d like to meet Max, her miniature schnauzer and loyal office companion. They're always happy to take a "paws."
