Join us for a milestone evening as we mark the 5th anniversary of York School’s beloved holiday tradition at the Portola Hotel & Spa in downtown Monterey! On the Second Friday of December, the lobby will come alive with the joyful sounds of the season as our Choir and Chamber Choir present a festive program of Christmas carols, holiday classics, and spirited tunes to welcome the holidays in style. Enjoy a heartwarming mix of solos, duets, and full-choir numbers, all performed by students donning their most festive holiday sweaters. The evening kicks off at 6:00 p.m., but we invite families to arrive early for a special Parent Happy Hour before the performance begins at 5:00pm. Students from the Musical Theatre Repertoire course will take the stage to present a curated selection of solo performances, showcasing their growth in vocal technique, character development, and stage presence. From the golden age of Broadway to contemporary hits, this recital celebrates a semester of hard work, exploration, and artistry. Each performance offers a unique window into the world of musical theatre and the individual voices of our talented students.
